To change a system holistically and radically we have to start at its core: our values and norms that are the base of all the human-made constructs we use for carrying out our daily life. With the illustration Casual I try to answer the question “how can we build a new normality?”. Right now, all of our processes are linear, and there is a beginning and an end, there is a winner and a loser. In a functional society and on a healthy planet - in sustainable systems - linear processes do not exist. It’s all closed loops. Giving and taking come together, everything is balanced and interdependent on one another. This is exactly the concept we need as the basis of all sectors in our society. The figures in Casual fully comprehended this already and live in a sustainable and future-proof constellation.
